Elizabeth Herbert sixth grade teacher loyola catholic grade school Ms. Elizabeth Herbert,

Grade 6 – missliz6loyola@yahoo.com

I was born and raised in Omaha Nebraska.  I then attended St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO, where I received my degree in Elementary Education.  After graduating from college, I decided to do a year of volunteer work with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.  I was sent to Portland, Maine, where I spent my first year teaching as an Enrichment Teacher.  This was a wonderful year that made me more excited than ever about my career in education.  My path then led me to Denver.  I taught 3rd grade for one year at St. Pius X in Aurora.  I knew about Loyola and hoped that a position would open up for the following year.  I am blessed to say that this is now my fourth year teaching here.  My first two years here I taught 2nd grade and last year, I made the move to 6th grade.  I love this school and deeply believe that it is a place of not only learning, but also a place of friendship, growth and compassion.
